DESCRIPTION:

Mountains of rusted out starship hulls, shav scraps, containers of long expired food and other discarded waste dominate the landscape. Over the century and a half of Human colonization, warfare, and industrial expansion, Uylé has become Deadstar’s dump. Though the small moon is typically overlooked by the common Deadstar local, Uylé is home to a unique and complex species known as the Kochamaroach.

The Kochamaroach first settled the Nymistian moon in the wake of the Chameiro War. The small insectoid species fought alongside their Dwarkan brethren in the war, serving as the frontline fighting force against Humanity. As a condition of the Chameiro War treaty, the Kochamaroach were offered support in settling Uylé along with an exclusive deal to convert the planet into Humanity’s primary waste disposal location. The waste disposal deal was a success on two fronts for the Kochamaroach as it would ensure the species’ financial security for the foreseeable future (so long as humanity was around) and it granted them the building blocks to create a new home. The Kochamaroach thrive in waste and radiation, meaning a junkyard environment was perfectly suited to their needs.

Today, Uylé is comprised of vast underground network of Kochamaroach cities. On the surface, the moon is home to a bustling market for recycled/repurposed goods and scavenging. Because the Kochamaroach tendency to “look the other way” regarding businesses deemed illegal by the NTF and the Sovkós Union, Uylé has also become host to several criminal organizations. Most crime syndicates which operate in NTF territory operate satellite branches in Uylé in order to smuggle goods, dispose of evidence, and stockpile large weaponry.
