Others may bow to a monarch, an elected official, or even an ancient deity, Profiteers will bow to whatever brings them the largest check. With a reliance on robust systems, cooperation, and skilled service, an enterprising Profiteer sees an abundance of opportunity to monetize every aspect of life in Deadstar. 

Profiteers in Deadstar are found in the form of Corporate Suits, Pirates, Criminals, Slavers, and anyone else that cares more about their own bottom line than any other creed or code. Most lawful Profiteers will be found in the core civs, places controlled by Nouvieux governing bodies. While the Nouvieux offer a laissez-faire trade market and protections for business, some Profiteers seek their financial fix from industries deemed “unfit for civilized society.” These extra-legal Profiteers tend to conduct their business where government control is sparse or non-existent as to avoid pesky consumer and labor protections. This includes much of Chameiro as well as the entire Deregulated Zone [DRZ]: Nymisto, Uylé, Phirnaut, etc..
