The Tebloni are the original inhabitants of Wessek, a distant orbiter of the planet Nymisto. Because of its position at the edge of the system, the Human settlers from Arc chose Wessek as their main starport for the wider galaxy. The Human settlement of Wessek displaced the native Tebloni. 

After the Nepzerk Revolution and the formation of the Sovkos Commonwealth, Wessex was taken by the Unionists. Seeing the displacement of the Tebloni as a great injustice, the Unionists gave control of Wessek back to the Tebloni, making them one of the most prosperous native species in Deadstar.  

The Tebloni are a descendant of the Neam-ní, an extinct ancient genus native to Nymisto. Neam-ní are defined by their ability to survive in vacuums, odd physiology, and colorful epidermis. The Tebloni are notable for the large calcific growths on their heads and chests, long ears, and wide eyes.
