THE RENEGADE
Collected, calm, and in control. Renegades will always play the game but they may just fix the odds.
RENEGADE PERKS
(Obtained at levels one, two, four, six, eight, and ten)
LEVEL ONE
LOCK-IN:
The Renegade may use their reaction to add their cool modifier to an ally’s d20 roll if the ally is within line of sight. The Renegade may also spend a major action on their turn to add their cool modifier to their next d20 roll.
LUCKY:
The Renegade Gains The Edge on modifier rolls (this does not include Lock-in).
LEVEL TWO
CHOOSE A SPECIALIZATION
ACE
DETERMINED:
The Ace may use Lock-in on themself as a reaction.
SCOUNDREL
CHALLENGE:
The Scoundrel may use their reaction to Lock-in on any target’s d20 roll and may choose to subtract their cool modifier rather than adding it to the target’s roll.
SLICK
SELF SOOTHE:
When the Slick uses Lock-in, they restore a number of Health Points [HP] equal to the result of their cool modifier.
LEVEL FOUR
CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PERKS
UNTOUCHABLE:
When hit with an attack while not Deploying armor, the Renegade may use their reaction to add their cool modifier to their Damage Threshold [DT] until the beginning of their next turn.
CALM UNDER PRESSURE:
Once per Breather, if the Renegade would Lose the Edge on a Test or Resist they may choose to instead Gain the Edge.
STAY WINNING:
When the Renegade succeeds on a Test or Resist, they Gain the Edge on their next Test or Resist rolled before the end of their next turn.
TWIST OF FATE:
The Renegade may use Gambit (see Brain).
NATURALLY GIFTED:
The Renegade may choose to replenish all Implements [IT] within one (1) of their Rigs at the end of a Breather.
LEVEL SIX
OBTAIN SPECIALIZATION PERK
ACE
INSPIRING:
Whenever the Ace succeeds on a Test or Resist, they may use their reaction to have an ally within line of sight restore a number of Health Points [HP] equal to the Ace’s cool modifier.
SCOUNDREL
TRICK SHOT:
When the Scoundrel deals damage with an attack, the target Loses the Edge on all attacks targeting the Scoundrel until the end of the Scoundrel’s next turn.
BAD FEELING:
When rolling initiative, the Scoundrel may add their cool modifier in addition to reflex.
SLICK
SMOOTH:
When the Slick rolls a 9 or lower on a d20 roll for a Test or Resist related to speech, they may treat the result as a 10 (The modifier die is still added as normal).
LEVEL EIGHT
CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PERKS
SNAKE EYES:
When the results of the Renegade’s modifier rolls are equal (doubles) they may combine the totals.
UNCANNY:
Once per Breather, when the Renegade would fail a Test or Resist they may reroll the Test or Resist. They must accept the new result.
CINCH:
Once per Breather, when the Renegade would Gain the Edge on a Test or Resist, they may choose to automatically succeed.
LET IT RIDE:
When the Renegade rolls the maximum value on their Lock-in modifier, they may reroll it and combine the results (this continues until the maximum value is not rolled).
LEVEL TEN
OBTAIN PRESTIGE SPECIALIZATION PERK
ACE
LEGEND:
The Ace may treat the Threat Level Threshold [TL] as though it were one (1) lower (cannot be lower than GREEN).
SCOUNDREL
BEST IN THE BIZ:
Whenever the Scoundrel hits with an attack or an attack targeting the Scoundrel misses, their next usage of Lock-In is a free action.
SLICK
STAR:
As long as an ally can draw line of sight on the Slick and the Slick is at full health, they Gain the Edge on all Tests and Resists.
