Powerful, rugged, resilient. The Muscle has a focused devotion to their body, unlocking physical abilities unknown to others.

MUSCLE PERKS

(Obtained at levels one, two, four, six, eight, and ten)

LEVEL ONE

TOUGH:

At level 1, the Muscle chooses a statistic between strength or reflex to become their Honed statistic. When hit with an attack, the Muscle may use their reaction to add their Honed modifier to rolls made to determine Damage Threshold [DT] when unarmoured in addition to their endurance modifier.

ADRENALINE:

When the Muscle RALLIES, they restore Health Points [HP] equal to their endurance modifier. In addition, the Muscle may SPRINT as a minor action if it’s in the direction of an enemy.

LEVEL TWO

CHOOSE A SPECIALIZATION

BRUTE

BLITZ:

When the Brute sustains an Injury Level [IL] they may use their reaction to become invulnerable to all damage until the end of their next turn.

RONIN

PARRY:

When an attack hits the Ronin and deals no damage they may use their reaction to make a counterattack against the attacker.

BRAWLER

SURGE:

The Brawler may make unarmed attacks as a minor action. When the Brawler uses their Tough reaction, they may SPRINT as a free action, provoking no opportunity attacks until the beginning of their next turn.

LEVEL FOUR

CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PERKS

APTITUDINAL:

The Muscle’s aptitude statistic is set to seven (07). The Muscle Gains The Edge on their modifier rolls.

ARMORED:

The Muscle may use their Tough reaction when taking damage while wearing armor.

ATHLETE:

The Brawler may take Evasive Maneuvers (see Operator).

HARD-FOUGHT:

The Muscle gains the Trained status in a weapon of their choice and acquire one (1) Combat Style.

LEVEL SIX

OBTAIN SPECIALIZATION PERK

BRUTE

HEAVY:

While Blitz is active, the Brute is immune to the PRONE status, cannot be moved against their will, and automatically succeeds on Resists made to reduce collision damage.

FURY:

While Blitz is active, the Brute may make one (1) attack as a minor action per turn.

RONIN

EXECUTIONER:

The Ronin may Parry as a free action. When their counterattack DOWNS a target, the Ronin may use their reaction to SPRINT, provoking no counterattacks until the beginning of their next turn.

BRAWLER

FLOAT LIKE A BUTTERFLY:

The Brawler may double the result of their jump modifier and is resistant to all falling damage. In addition, when the Brawler SPRINTS, all attacks against them Lose the Edge until the start of their next turn.

STING LIKE A BEE:

When the Brawler deals damage to a single target with two separate unarmed attacks during their turn, the target must succeed on an endurance Resist or become STUNNED.

LEVEL EIGHT

CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PERKS

ARMED TO THE TEETH:

The Muscle may ignore the TWO-HANDED FX and may Deploy two weapons at a time. When the Muscle makes an attack with a Deployed weapon, they may make an additional attack using the Deployed weapon in their other hand as a minor action. The second attack does not add their associated modifier to the attack roll (perception or reflex).

REGENERATION:

When the Muscle’s Tough ability reduces an attack’s damage to zero (0) they restore a number of Health Points [HP] equal to the remaining Damage Threshold [DT] (DT - damage = HP restored).

ARTISAN OF PAIN:

When the Muscle hits with a martial weapon attack, they may choose to deal NERVE damage.

BLOOD THIRSTY:

When the Muscle DOWNS an enemy, they restore a number of Health Points [HP] equal to their Honed modifier.

LEVEL TEN

OBTAIN PRESTIGE SPECIALIZATION PERK

BRUTE

JUGGERNAUT:

The Brute may take actions while DOWNED. In addition, any damage that would reduce their Health Points [HP] to zero (0) reduces it to one (1) instead (the BLEED OUT status may still cause Natural Death).

RONIN

SHOKĪL:

When the Ronin inflicts the BLEED OUT status on an enemy, they may make an attack as a free action.

BRAWLER

CHAMPION:

The Brawler’s attacks that hit a STUNNED target are automatically CRITICAL HITS.
