DESCRIPTION:

Zulgahr is an isolated civilization housed in ancient structures buried deep in the mountains of Stalbez’s northern pole. Zulgahr is host to the oldest and largest Zuteh society that researchers have yet discovered. Though the structures that comprise Zulgahr have been in the possession of the northern Zuteh for thousands of years, it is speculated that the original builders of the Zulghar cave infrastructure may have been a long extinct species of intelligent life referred to as the “Neam-Ni.” The Neam-Ni are known only by the artifacts and ruins they leave behind, though is is known that the aliens possessed advanced technology on par with other space-faring civilizations. Zulgahr is evidence of the advancd nature of Neam-Ni technology, with the construction’s requirement of complex boring, large scale fabrication, and geothermal power generation.

While the Zuteh of Zulgahr are an isolated and independant society, some Sovkós scientists have been able to gain access to the ancient city where they were allowed to study and conduct tests on the structures and technology. Some of the Neam-Ni tech still in use by the Zuteh include, projectile weapons akin to long-barreled electro-magnetic firearms (typically used for hunting and defense), carbon batteries which are capable of lasting thousands of years and holding a stable non-radioactive charge, and complex flying machines designed to travel between destinations in the high altitude city.

Zulgahr society is not inherently aggressive or expansionist, though they are known to be extremely cautious of outsiders and protective of their territory, a fact which has lead to conflict in the past. The first humans to discover Zulgahr (on ISSC research missions) were met with violence - likely due to a breakdown in communication with the Zuteh. In recent years, the Commonwealth Linguistics Agency has made significant breakthroughs in Zuteh language, allowing ambassadors and researchers to form a strong relationship with the people of Zulgahr.
