ZU-BI ZU-BI

TRAITS:

Type: Alien Lifeform

Size: Medium (about 1.25 unit)

Speed: 6 units

The Zu-Bi Zu-Bi were first discovered by Bek colonists on Nymisto. The Bek initially mistook Zu-Bi Zu-Bis for a non-sentient species, and, seeing their presence as a natural threat to their colonization efforts, proceeded to eradicate them (without ever attempting to make contact).

The Bek nearly wiped out Zu-Bi Zu-Bi culture, but thanks to the bravery and quick reaction time of in-orbit spacers, a few thousand Zu-Bi Zu-Bi survived. The survivors, known as “Pilgrims”, scattered across the Deadstar system, and eventually integrated with other species for safety and comfort.

The Zu-Bi Zu-Bi are a descendant of the Neam-ní, an extinct ancient genus native to Nymisto. The Zu-Bi Zu-Bi’s mainly communicate via gentle touches and have a soft, pillowy epidermis and a gel-like, malleable interior structure. Their flesh acts similarly to a non-newtonian fluid, able to change viscosity in reaction to force or by concentrated effort (like flexing a muscle), allowing them to stretch like gum or become rock-solid at will.

VISCOSITY:

You may alter your viscosity at will, allowing you to manipulate the elasticity of your body. As a reaction, you may choose to make your body flex or stretch. When you flex, your Damage Threshold [DT] increases by two (2) until the end of your next turn. When you stretch, your melee attacks gain a range of two (2) units until the end of your next turn and you may fit through spaces size Nano or smaller.

VOID WALKER:

You do not require oxygen to survive. In addition, you are immune to VOID damage inflicted by the vacuum of space.
