Born out of the melding of Bek and Human culture, hadiocrats are defined by their shrewd social and political landscape. Leadership through strength and intellect, Hadiocrats reject soft emotionality in favor of harsh dominance. Hadiocrats maintain a strong ruling aristocracy who shepherd a defanged underclass of strivers.

While its first inklings were evident in the formation of a Bek-Human hybrid social enclave on Arc, Hadiocracy formed in earnest during the Cerkata Uprising on Æntez (formerly Naesha, Humanity’s first colony in Deadstar). Seeing themselves as the next leap forward in human-alien evolution, the Bek-Human hybrids (a product of the Bek’s attempt to sow further control of humanity) formed a political movement to capture the aspirations of the human future of Deadstar, this became “Hadiocracy.” The term derives from a melding of “Humanity” and the Bek principle of “Diotechnopathy,” the pervasive belief that their powerful creations and scientific technology elevate them above “lesser” lifeforms.

With its elites, the Azurian Dynasty, still firmly unified under the Hadiocratic world view, Æntez is the most powerful Hadiocratic civilization in Deadstar. Despite the fact that Hadiocracy has never seized enough power to sustain system-wide dominance, Hadiocrats have found allies in Deadstar’s most prolific political ideology: Nouviex, seeing it as a reflection of Hadiocracy save for its weakness in misguided empathy. While the Nouviex possess the idealistic aspiration of a fair-opportunity society, the reality of Nouviex civs scarcely serves as a model of equality.
