VIT-A’GUA-LA
DESCRIPTION:
Vit-A’gua-la is the esoteric belief system which unites Kørt’s largest culture, the Vit-Maal. Born at the dawn of Kørtisian civilization, Vit-A’gua-la is a mystic religion with strong focus on community, preservation of the natural world, and the maintenance of a nurturing spirit for Vit-Maal culture. Vit-A’gua-la temples, referred to as “Kompenta” are designed as inverted pyramids that stretch deep into the water. Kompenta are typically built before Vit-Maal cities and serve as a foundation on which the above-water structures rest. While early practitioners of Vit-A’gua-la all believed in deities which ruled over areas of the natural world, modern Vit-Maal tend to substitute Vit-A’gua-la divinity for hard sciences, believing doctrine is more reliant on lessons and community, allowing for interpretation. While secular, the Kørtisian Unionist Party (KUP) proclaims Vit-A’gua-la history to be a significant and sacred element of Vit-Maal culture, citing the tenets of preservation and community as shared values with Unionism.
