DESCRIPTION:

The oldest human criminal organization in Deadstar, the Element operates in every major civ in the system, dominating the illegal weapons, narcotics, and protection racket businesses.

Though its difficult to pinpoint the exact date of the Element’s origin, the organized crime syndicate is known to pre-date humanity’s arrival to Deadstar, having formed some time on the ISSC Arc’s multi-generational journey. The Element was the culmination of centuries of small scale gang infighting aboard the Arc, a single entity formed from the unification of the Arc’s conflicting criminal factions.

Though it’s nearly impossible to conduct criminal operations in Deadstar without bumping shoulders with the Element gang, official entry into the close-knit club is a rigorous multi-step initiation process which few have completed. So called “Blocked” individuals (a reference to the assignment of color coordinated “block” patches awarded to full members) are granted protection and loyalty by fellow Element members for life.
