Meteor Mart was conceived by Chromius Limited’s founder, Osgood “Jarhead” Surling, during his tenure as the brainiac mastermind behind the Star Pals. As a spacer, Jarhead discovered a problem in need of solving — “Far from home or port, where is a spacer in need meant to acquire essential resources in a pinch?” The answer — Meteor Mart.

Using his many in-roads with the businesses of Deadstar, Jarhead created Meteor Mart to function as both a convenience to spacers and a promotional tool for participating manufacturers. Instead of trying to compete with massive companies like Oro Corp, Meteor Mart instead commissions products from large brands and markets them with Meteor Mart branding, inflating the price and sharing the profit with the manufacturer. Brands attempting to distance themselves from their reputation are able to launder their product through Meteor Mart’s glowing reputation.
