In order to maintain power along crucial trade routes, the Nouvieux Trade Federation established the External Intelligence Agency (E.I.A) to monitor potential Unionist uprisings within their established territories. The E.I.A. was responsible for arming and training the E.K-Yotomi to fight burgeoning Unionists, a precursor to the Kørtisian Conflict. The N.F.I.A. now denies any association with the “terrorist” organization. E.I.A. utilizes some of the most advanced weapons and surveillance technologies system-wide in their fight against domestic Unionists, deploying D-Core bots and Jötunn at a moments notice once a Unionist cell is discovered.
