Aeon Shield is the largest healthcare network in Deadstar. A collection of individual clinics, hospitals, rehab centers, and urgent care facilities throughout NTF territory, Aeon Shield also accounts for the insurance coverage of those who pay into the network.

Because of Aeon Shield’s high price for entry and the inflated cost of care, many NTF citizens (particularly those in the growing Knil workers movement) detest the corporation. Aeon Shield’s practices and lack of affordable alternatives have caused a significant portion of the less-affluent of Gärbo and elsewhere go into debt to receive life-saving care, or even forgo treatment altogether.
